The best outdoor grill recipes are those you use regularly, not just once a year in an experiment. You want to have recipes that are so good your guests will ask you to make them again and again. That's a sign of true outdoor grill BBQ master skills!
I'm going to share a few tips I've found helpful about outdoor grill and BBQ practice. I may not be the best out there but I've done my share of experimenting! Next I'll show you one of my favorite sauce recipes.
Some Tips
Tip # 1. Always brush the grill with vegetable oil before and after cooking! This keeps the charcoal that might stick to the grill soft. This is the best tip that will help you avoid having to clean that outdoor grill.
Tip # 2. Invest in a rubber heat resistant sauce brush. I bet you didn't know they existed! It's never good when you go to bite into steak and end up picking bristles out of your mouth. The rubber brush is dishwasher safe and can be purchased at most cooking stores.
Tip # 3. As long as you know how long to cook the different types of meats, don't be afraid to create different sauces and spices and experiment with cooking. I'm going to show you one of the best sauces to make that will go on any meat!
A sauce you can put on just about anything!
2 cups ketchup
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/4 t Tabasco sauce
6 T molasses
1/4 t garlic salt
Mix all the recipe ingredients in a medium saucepan. Gradually bring to a boil, then remove and serve warm or chilled.
This sauce recipe can go on just about any meat or poultry and is great to have around at all times. Feel free to add your own touch to it! You might want to add a little honey or put in a little of your favorite hot sauce or liquid smoke!
